On the 12th of April I competed in the final of the Dunraven Young Welsh Singer Competition at Maesteg Town Hall. I am absolutely ecstatic to have been named the winner of the 2014 Dunraven Young Welsh Singer of the Year Competition and the recipient of a scholarship and stunning crystal trophy.

I met the wonderful harpsichordist/fortepianist Nathaniel Mander in 2008 whilst I was working as a steward in the Dartington International Summer School and we have remained firm friends musically and unmusically! This year, I was fortunate to be chosen to represent the Royal Academy of Music in the intercollegiate Sir Anthony Lewis Memorial Competition. We had enormous fun preparing very unusual repertoire for the competition and with the help of lutenist Toby Carr, I was awarded Second Prize. Nathaniel, Toby and I will also be performing in the final of the John Kerr Award at Finchcocks Museum, Kent on the 26th of October 2014.
